Introducing SNOMED-CT into Primary Care 27/1/04
The intention to replace Read Code and CTV3 with SNOMED-CT was declared in the early 2000s.
The PHCSG discussed this in 2004, outlining some of the dificulties and considerations involved.
Read Code and CTV3 are no longer being updated with new Codes – and all GP systems should be using SNOMED-CT by 2018.
